The New Zealand Red Cross app above has a simple layout, I like the drawings however they are rather plain. The use of the videos are helpful as this is something that I think that I should consider adding to my own app. There is a lot going on with the large circle and rectangle boxes. The colour contrast of the text and the grey background is also quite hard to read, i think just a plain white would have been the better choice here. The icons along the side of the app, highlighting the disease of condition are also very confusing, the allergy one doesn’t look like a peanut to me so its good they added text here as well as the image.
The icons at the bottom of the screen aren’t suitable as they are just simple shapes with not meaning, confusing the user and therefore lessening their overall user experience. Overall this isn’t that well designed but it does the job.
